Union Minister Bandi Sanjay aims to make Hindus key voter base in T’gana

Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Sunday claimed that non-BJP parties in Telangana are trying to mobilize the Muslim vote. He said his goal is to make Hindus the primary political voter base in the state.

Sanjay Kumar made these remarks while attending the “Karthika Vana Bhojanalu” event organized by the Kapu community in Hyderabad. He questioned the idea that God decides a person’s religion before birth, arguing that it is unfair to push for religious conversions later. He criticized non-BJP parties for attempting to court Telangana’s 12% Muslim population, while, according to him, no party pays attention to the 80% Hindu majority.

“My aim is to make 80% of Hindus a strong voter base so that every political party starts considering Hindu interests,” he said. Despite his recent defeat in Jubilee Hills, he expressed determination to work with even greater enthusiasm.

He clarified that he does not intend to insult Muslims, Christians, or followers of other religions, but stressed the importance of celebrating the “glory of Hinduism.” Referring to past police cases filed against him, he vowed never to back down from working for the cause of Hinduism.

Sanjay also praised Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan for supporting Sanatana Dharma, noting that some Hindus who had converted to other religions are now reconsidering their decisions. Addressing the Kapu community, he urged everyone to prioritize national service and contribute to the overall development of society.
