
Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Affirms Centre’s Strong Backing for Telangana
Bandi Sanjay Kumar , Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, has strongly dismissed Congress allegations that the central government is neglecting Telangana . He pointed to recent decisions by the Modi government as proof of the state receiving priority support across sectors.
The Centre has allocated ₹884 crore to ensure a minimum support price for Telangana farmers, covering 1.25 lakh metric tonnes of pulses, millets, and other crops. Under the PM Awas Yojana (Urban) , permission has been granted to construct 18,213 new houses in the state.
In railways, two new Amrit Bharat trains from Cherlapalli to Nagercoil and Kamakshi have been announced, giving Telangana enhanced connectivity. The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) is also moving to designate two historic temples in Mulugu district as protected national monuments.
For infrastructure, the Centre has approved ₹3,175 crore for the widening of National Highway 167 from Gudebelluru to Mahbubnagar , part of the Hyderabad–Panaji Economic Corridor .
Bandi Sanjay Kumar emphasized that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi , Telangana continues to receive strong backing in agriculture, infrastructure, and housing, countering claims of central neglect.
