Unannounced Inspection: MLA Flags Issues at Rallananthapuram School

Kambadur MLA Amilineni Surendra Babu issued a stern warning to school authorities on Tuesday, emphasizing that negligence in providing quality meals to students will not be tolerated. He conducted a surprise inspection at the District Parishad High School in Rallananthapuram village, Kambadur Mandal, checking classrooms, the kitchen, and toilets while engaging directly with students to understand their concerns.

To personally assess the midday meal quality , the MLA sat down with the students and sampled the food. He expressed strong dissatisfaction after finding the pulihora below expected standards and noting that instead of fried eggs , students were served only boiled eggs . Students also told him that, due to the summer heat, classes start early, but meals are often delayed until 12:30 PM , causing discomfort. Responding promptly, the MLA directed the DEO to ensure that meals are ready by 10:30 AM going forward.

Focusing on school infrastructure, the MLA highlighted incomplete buildings, kitchens, and toilets left unfinished due to past government neglect . He promised to complete these facilities using his personal funds . Additionally, he provided 80 yoga mats worth ₹26,000 for student use. Officials were instructed to enforce strict action against contractors who fail to adhere to menu guidelines , underscoring that quality education and nutritious meals remain the government’s top priority.
