The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has partnered with Google to display authorised Aadhaar centres on Google Maps, helping residents locate genuine service points while reducing fraud by fake agents . The initiative will show centres offering services such as adult enrolment, child enrolment, and address or mobile updates, along with accessibility features like divyang-friendly infrastructure, parking, and operating hours.

By directing users to verified centres, the collaboration protects rural residents and migrants who may be unfamiliar with official facilities and often rely on intermediaries. UIDAI has also emphasised privacy safeguards , ensuring that no personal data is shared during the search process, and that centre information is accurate and verified to prevent misinformation.

In the next phase, UIDAI plans to use Google Business Profile to update centre information, respond to feedback, and ensure transparency. Users will also be able to book appointments directly through Google Maps and receive step-by-step instructions for visiting centres efficiently. The facility is expected to be rolled out in the coming months .

“Integrating verified Aadhaar centres makes it easier for millions, especially rural and migrant residents, to access trusted services confidently while bridging gaps in government infrastructure,” said Ms. Roli Agarwal , Country Head, Strategic Partnerships, Google India. Sh. Bhuvnesh Kumar , CEO, UIDAI, added, “This collaboration ensures navigating authorised centres is simpler, faster, safe, and transparent, with strong privacy and data accuracy measures.”
