Delivering a clinical and commanding performance at the 18th edition of the TCS World 10K Bengaluru, he clinched the men’s elite title with an impressive 27:53 finish .

Right from the start, Cheptegei looked in complete control, setting a demanding pace that stretched the field. Eritrea’s Saymon Tesfagiorgis stayed close and finished just two seconds behind at 27:55 , while Kenya’s Vincent Langat secured third place with 28:02 , making it a tightly contested podium despite the Ugandan’s dominance.

For Indian fans, the spotlight turned to Abhishek Pal, who delivered a commendable run , finishing seventh overall with 29:12 . In the Indian Elite Men’s category, Harmanjot Singh emerged on top, reflecting the steady rise of India’s distance running scene.

The women’s race brought its own moment of consistency and excellence, as Sanjivani Jadhav completed a remarkable hat-trick of victories , reinforcing her dominance on the national circuit.

Beyond the elite competition, the streets of Bengaluru transformed into a vibrant celebration of fitness and community spirit. Over 35,000 participants took part in the event, turning the race into a citywide movement. The presence of public figures like Omar Abdullah and Tejasvi Surya added to the energy and visibility of the occasion.
