Udaipur IT Firm CEO Among Three Arrested for Alleged Assault

According to a PTI report, three people, including the CEO of a private IT company, have been arrested for the alleged gangrape of a female manager of the company following a birthday party in Udaipur, Rajasthan.

The accused reportedly include Jitesh Sisodia , CEO of the company; a female executive head of the firm; and her husband, Gaurav Sirohi , from Meerut. The alleged incident occurred after a party organized by Sisodia last Saturday, where the woman was present as a guest.

As per the report, after other guests gradually left, the victim was left alone. The female executive head allegedly offered to drop her home and took her in a car in which Sisodia and Sirohi were also present. During the journey, a substance resembling cigarettes was reportedly given to the victim, causing her to lose consciousness. She is said to have woken up the next morning to find that she had been sexually assaulted.

Following the complaint, a case was registered at Sukher police station under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (Indian Penal Code) . All three accused were arrested on Thursday and produced before a court, which sent them to four-day police remand . The report adds that the victim underwent a medical examination and her statements were recorded. The investigation is being handled by Additional Superintendent of Police Madhuri Verma .

Police have confirmed the arrests but are continuing further inquiries. No independent confirmation from other news sources is currently available.
