Two indian men shot dead outside gurdwara in Italy, police suspect planned execution

Two Indian men have been shot dead in northern Italy’s Covo in Bergamo province in what investigators now widely suspect to be a targeted and premeditated execution , carried out outside a gurdwara during preparations for the Vaisakhi festival , according to multiple local media reports.

The incident took place on Friday shortly before midnight in the square outside the Gurdwara Mata Sahib Kaur Ji , located in an industrial area of the town. The victims were identified as Raginder Singh, 48, a resident of Covo, and Gurmit Singh, 48, from Agnadello.

Reports say the men were leaving a warehouse used as a temporary place of worship when the attack occurred. The assailant allegedly approached them, opened fire at close range, and then the assailant fled in a car , escaping the scene immediately after the shooting.

Authorities have recovered around ten shell casings , indicating multiple rounds were fired, and forensic teams are treating the case as a coldly planned execution , with investigators ruling out a spontaneous fight or sudden escalation.

Additional reports indicate that the attack may have involved more than one suspect , with eyewitness accounts suggesting coordination, including the possibility of multiple individuals arriving in vehicles.
