
Two district court staff among four killed in separate accidents in Andhra
Two separate road accidents in Andhra Pradesh claimed four lives, including two court employees and a married couple, in incidents reported from Chittoor and East Godavari districts.
Car Crashes into Lorry, Two Court Employees Killed
A fatal accident occurred shortly after midnight on Sunday near YSR Junction on the Chittoor to Bengaluru National Highway, claiming the lives of two young men. The victims, Harish and Yugandar, were employees of the Tirupati district court.
Police said the accident happened when a lorry ahead slowed down suddenly at speed breakers. A car approaching from behind at high speed lost control and rammed into the lorry. The impact completely crushed the front portion of the car.
Harish died on the spot, while Yugandar, who suffered serious injuries , died on the way to the hospital. Their sudden deaths have left court staff shocked , as both were known for their dedication to duty.
Car Falls into Pond, Couple Dies
In another incident near Mandapeta in East Godavari district, a car travelling from Kakinada went out of control and plunged into a pond. Preliminary reports indicate that the driver may have fallen asleep at the wheel.
The car submerged in water, leading to the deaths of a couple, identified as N. Veera Venkata Satish and R. Kiranmayi, due to suffocation . Locals quickly responded and rescued an elderly woman and two children from the vehicle safely.
Rajamahendravaram East Zone DSP B. Vidya said that despite immediate rescue efforts , the couple could not be saved.
Police have registered cases in both incidents and started investigations . A case has been booked under Section 106 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita in connection with the Mandapeta accident. The bodies have been shifted to government hospitals for post-mortem .
The incidents underline the dangers of momentary negligence and driver fatigue, which can result in tragic consequences.
