Two decades, one legend: Apache at 20
TVS Motor Company has unveiled limited-edition versions across its entire Apache motorcycle lineup to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the series. The special editions include the RTR 160, RTR 160 4V, RTR 180, RTR 200 4V, RTR 310, and RR 310 models. Additionally, the RTR 160 4V and RTR 200 4V have been updated with new top-tier variants featuring enhanced equipment.
Introduced in 2005, the TVS Apache series follows a 'Track-to-Road' philosophy, integrating racing technologies from TVS Racing into street-legal motorcycles. The 20th-anniversary editions are distinguished by a black-and-champagne gold livery adorned with a commemorative logo. Notable updates across the range include the first-ever USB charger on the Apache series and dual-tone black-and-gold alloy wheels on the RTR 160 to 200 4V models. The design remains consistent with the standard variants.
The new flagship trims of the RTR 160 4V and RTR 200 replace the previous USD-fork LCD display models at the top of the range. Key updates include a projector headlamp with integrated LED DRLs, a 5-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity and voice assist, and traction control. Colour options have also been revised, with the RTR 160 4 now offered in Racing Red, Marine Blue, and Matte Black, while the RTR 200 4V is available in Matte Black and Granite Grey.
Prices for the new top-spec RTR 160 4V start at ₹1.48 lakh, while the RTR 200 4V is listed at ₹1.60 lakh. These represent a premium of ₹8,000 and ₹6,000 respectively over the earlier top variants. The 20th-anniversary editions carry an additional ₹3,000 over standard models.
The TVS Apache series continues to be a significant player in the Indian motorcycle market, combining performance, technology, and design to cater to the evolving preferences of riders.
