Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) chief Vijay on Thursday released the party’s much-anticipated election manifesto ahead of the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections , outlining an ambitious welfare and development agenda.

The Chief Ministerial candidate unveiled the document at a meeting of party functionaries, presenting what the party described as a “visionary roadmap” for governance. The manifesto builds on themes highlighted during his statewide campaign, including youth employment, education reforms, women’s welfare , and public infrastructure .

A major highlight of the manifesto is its focus on women-centric welfare schemes. Vijay promised Rs 2,500 monthly assistance for women , 8 grams of gold for marriage assistance , and a quality silk saree for indigent brides . He also announced interest-free loans up to Rs 5 lakh for women-led self-help groups (SHGs) and Rs 15,000 annual support for mothers aimed at preventing school dropouts.

For the agricultural sector, the party proposed a full waiver of cooperative crop loans for farmers owning less than five acres and assured a minimum support price of Rs 3,500 per quintal for paddy , signalling a strong push toward rural and farm welfare.

According to TVK General Secretary ‘Bussy’ N Anand, the event was conducted in compliance with Election Commission guidelines , with attendance capped at 800 authorised personnel . Entry was restricted to those carrying QR code passes , and the party issued advisories discouraging public gatherings at the venue.

Supporters were urged to follow the event through live telecasts and digital platforms .

The manifesto release marks a crucial step in TVK’s campaign strategy, translating its outreach promises into a structured policy framework ahead of the polls.
