TVK Chief Vijay declares Rs 603 Cr wealth ahead of Tamil Nadu polls

TVK chief and actor-turned-politician Vijay has declared total assets of approximately Rs 603.20 crore in his election affidavit, filed on Monday with the Returning Officer .

According to the affidavit, the 52-year-old disclosed movable assets valued at Rs 404.58 crore , including cash in hand of Rs 2 lakh , bank deposits exceeding Rs 213 crore , and a high-end vehicular fleet featuring a BMW 530 , Toyota Lexus , Toyota Vellfire , and BMW i7 . His jewellery holdings include 883 grams of gold and silver , collectively worth Rs 15 lakh .

Vijay’s immovable assets , encompassing agricultural land in Kodaikanal and multiple residential and commercial properties across Chennai , are valued at around Rs 198.62 crore . His spouse, Sangeetha , has separately declared assets totaling Rs 15.76 crore , with movable assets worth Rs 15.51 crore and immovable property valued at Rs 25 lakh .

For the financial year 2024-25 , Vijay reported a total income of Rs 184.53 crore , primarily from self-employment, interest, and rental income . The affidavit notes zero liabilities and no pending dues to banks or financial institutions .

Regarding his legal record , Vijay stated that he has no pending criminal cases and has never been convicted of any offence. On the educational front, he disclosed that he discontinued his BSc from Loyola College, Chennai , in 1992, completing Class 10 and 12 via private study in 1989 and 1991, respectively.

The actor-politician is making his electoral debut by contesting from Perambur and Tiruchi East in the upcoming Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly elections , scheduled for April 23, 2026 , with results to be declared on May 4 . The newly formed TVK party is also entering the polls for the first time.
