TTD receives ₹918 crores in donations in 11 months

Donations to the trusts managed by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) have surged remarkably. In the 11 months since the formation of the TDP coalition government-from November 1, 2024, to October 16, 2025 donors contributed a record ₹918.6 crores to various TTD-managed trusts. This is considered the highest ever donation inflow in TTD’s history. Of this, ₹579.38 crores were received online, while ₹339.20 crores came through offline channels.

Surge in donations

After the formation of the TDP coalition government and the appointment of B.R. Naidu as the TTD Board Chairman, donations to TTD-managed trusts have witnessed an unprecedented increase. Within just 11 months, TTD received ₹918.6 crores in contributions. The primary reasons cited for this surge are improvements in accommodation, darshan arrangements, laddu prasadam, and the quality of annadaanam (food offerings).

“Donations have come not only from industrialists but also from middle-class devotees. It should be seen as a service to humanity,” said TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu. He added that even a small contribution for the welfare of the poor brings immense satisfaction. He also appreciated industrialists coming forward to donate to TTD trusts.

Impact of donations

TTD’s activities extend beyond purely spiritual programs. To expand religious services, it collaborates with the Hindu Dharma Prachar Parishad and serves annaprasadam (food offerings) to around 2.5 lakh devotees daily. Apart from the main annadaanam center at Tirumala, daily food distribution has been extended to ten cottages, the Tirupati Govindarajaswami Temple, Tiruchanur Padmavathi Ammavari Temple, and Ontimitta Kodanda Ramalingeswara Swamy Temple in Kadapa district.

Alongside these programs, TTD also provides corporate-level medical services to the poor through the Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences, Sri Balaji Institute for the Treatment of Disabilities, and BIRD Hospitals. The SV Pranadan Trust facilitates patient services. Additionally, TTD has established SV Sarva Shreyas Trust, cow protection, and Veda preservation education trusts, which, supported by donor contributions, provide food offerings to pilgrims, patients, and students.

“Most donations are coming through online channels,” Chairman B.R. Naidu confirmed.

Donations by trust

TTD manages trusts for religious programs as well as education, healthcare, and cow protection. Many VIPs and industrialists visiting Tirumala contributed significantly. Chairman B.R. Naidu expressed optimism that donations may increase further by the end of the financial year. The Matrushri Taragonda Vembamamba Nityannadaan Trust received the highest contributions.

TTD Executive Officer Anil Kumar Singhal stated, “Donors are coming forward in large numbers to support the trusts managed by TTD. This is true Madhava seva (service).” He noted that online contributions exceeded offline donations, with contributions coming via kiosks and the TTD website. The online contributions totaled ₹579.38 crores, while offline donations amounted to ₹339.20 crores. Singhal also emphasized that TTD officials pay special attention to providing accommodation along with darshan for devotees. The donations are also being used to construct buildings and procure equipment to improve facilities for pilgrims.
