TTD prioritizes devotees for brahmotsavams

TTD Executive Officer (EO) Anil Kumar Singhal announced on Friday that all preparations are complete for the annual Srivari Brahmotsavams. He stated that the festival is being planned to gain a "national outlook," with a strong emphasis on the welfare of ordinary devotees. The TTD has canceled break darshans and room allotments based on recommendation letters to ensure that priority is given to common devotees. A total of 1.16 lakh special darshan tickets have been sold for the nine-day event, and the Srivari Garuda Seva is scheduled to begin at 6:30 PM on September 28. The TTD EO mentioned that CM Chandrababu Naidu has been invited to present silk robes to the Lord on the day of Dhwajarohanam.

To support the massive influx of pilgrims, the TTD has prepared a buffer stock of 8 lakh laddus and has spent ₹5.5 crore on electrical and engineering works, along with ₹3.5 crore on floral decorations. Devotees will have access to 36 LED screens, 20 help desks, and information in five languages. On the day of Garuda Seva, food will be provided to two lakh people in the Madaveedhi, and the Vengamamba Annaprasada Center will operate from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Due to limited parking for only 4,000 vehicles in Tirumala, five parking spaces have been set up in Tirupati, with RTC buses available for transportation.

The EO added that 290 art groups from 28 states will perform, with the aim of giving the Brahmotsavams a national-level profile. He also warned that a special social media team, including TTD Vigilance and Police, has been formed to combat fake news. He stressed that legal action will be taken against those who spread false propaganda.
