Trump Calls Nicki Minaj 'So Hot' At Rose Garden Lunch, Then Mixes Her Up With SBA Chief

Donald Trump proved once again that flattery and forgetfulness go hand in hand at the White House. During a Rose Garden luncheon on Monday held to celebrate the launch of Trump Accounts , the eighty year old president decided that praising rapper Nicki Minaj required calling her "so respected and so hot and so great," because nothing says presidential decorum quite like rating a guest's attractiveness from the podium.

Trump went on to declare Minaj a "fantastic person" with "real talent" who is "respected by everybody," before asking her to stand up so the crowd could admire the woman he insists is neither conservative nor liberal but simply a person of "common sense." Minaj, dressed in pink, happily obliged and later posted the moment on social media with praying hand emojis, because subtlety was never really the assignment for either of them.

The bigger stumble came minutes later. While praising Jeff Sprecher , the head of Intercontinental Exchange, Trump credited his wife with doing a phenomenal job running the Small Business Administration , then attached the wrong name entirely, calling her Nicki Minaj instead of the actual administrator, Kelly Loeffler . The White House offered no clarification on the mix up, leaving the internet to do what it does best, mock him relentlessly. One notable detail nobody in the administration seemed eager to address twice in one speech.

Minaj has spent the past year cementing her status as one of Trump's favourite celebrity endorsers, championing his immigration Gold Card program and the newly launched Trump Accounts savings scheme for American born babies. She has called herself the president's number one fan, addressed the United Nations on his behalf regarding religious violence in Nigeria, and previously compared her support for him to how Marilyn Monroe represented a vibe rather than a policy position.

Critics online were quick to point out the irony of a sitting president publicly rating a guest's looks at a formal government event, with several users calling the remarks unprofessional and tabloid worthy. Whether Minaj's political rebrand continues to pay off remains uncertain, especially since she has released no new music since pivoting toward MAGA politics, leaving her fans wondering whether the White House visits are replacing the studio sessions altogether.
