Troubles for the Ace Director with the Title “Varanasi”

Rajamouli, who is currently the first choice for massive films and Pan-India heroes, recently held a grand global event to reveal the title of his upcoming movie with Mahesh Babu, which is being made on a huge budget. However, that very event has now brought him double trouble. Everyone agrees that there is no one who can market films to the masses better than Rajamouli. While that is true, some comments he made at the recent promotional platform are causing a massive uproar.

At this mega-event, Rajamouli's comments claiming that he does not believe in Gods hurt the sentiments of Hindus, according to the Rashtriya Vanara Sena Sangham members who have stepped in. They filed a complaint against him at the Saroornagar Police Station in Hyderabad, and the police have registered a case. While some fans are ready to forgive, stating that misspeaking on stage sometimes happens, the controversy has escalated.

Even before this comments controversy could subside, a new dispute has arisen over the film's title. The title 'Varanasi', which Rajamouli revealed at the event, has been objected to by the Ram Bhakta Hanuma Creations banner. They have filed a complaint with the Film Chamber, stating that they have already registered this title. The 'Globetrotter' event, which drew criticism for its indirect comments on Lord Hanuman, has now encountered another hurdle in the form of its title.

With a police case on one side and a title registration issue on the other, there is a sense of curiosity in the film circles as to how the Ace Director will resolve these two problems and what decision the Film Chamber will take.

There are certain rules to follow before using a title that is already registered. This is not new to Tollywood; previously, the film Khaleja was changed to Mahesh Khaleja , and because the title Gang Leader was already used by Chiranjeevi, the later film with the same title became Nani Gang Leader .
