
Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha Visits Tirumala Temple
Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Sunday offered prayers at the Tirumala Venkateswara Temple . Upon his arrival at the shrine in the morning, officials of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) extended a traditional temple welcome to him.
Adhering to temple customs, the Chief Minister had darshan of the presiding deity along with common devotees and fulfilled his vows. He spent over an hour at the temple and performed special prayers in the sanctum sanctorum.
Following the darshan, TTD Vedic scholars rendered Veda Ashirvachanam to the Chief Minister at the Ranganayakula Mandapam. TTD officials later honoured Manik Saha with a silk shawl and presented him with a portrait of the deity and tirtha prasadam.
On the occasion, temple authorities briefed him on the significance of the Tirumala shrine and the daily rituals conducted there. He expressed satisfaction over the arrangements made by TTD for the convenience of devotees at Tirumala, one of the most sacred pilgrimage centres in the country .
