
Traffic Awareness Seminar Held in Nanal Nagar, Free Helmets Distributed
A traffic awareness seminar and free helmet distribution programme was organised on Monday in Nanal Nagar in the city. The event was conducted under the aegis of the Kulsum Pura Traffic Police Station (Golconda Zone) . Officials stated that the primary objective of the seminar was to enhance public awareness about road safety regulations and improve commuter safety.
Additional DCP (Traffic, Golconda Zone) C. Venugopal Reddy and ACP D. Dhanalakshmi presided over the programme. They urged the public to strictly adhere to road safety norms . They emphasised that two-wheeler riders and pillion riders must mandatorily wear helmets , and advised that children above four years of age should also wear helmets. They further highlighted the necessity for all occupants of motor vehicles to wear seat belts .
Officials cautioned motorists against overtaking from the left and stressed the importance of maintaining lane discipline . Heavy vehicles were advised to strictly follow the prescribed speed limits .
As part of the programme, approximately 15 helmets were distributed free of cost to eligible motorists in coordination with the HCSC Team and the Young India Team . Tolichowki Traffic Inspector G. Venkateshwarlu and Kulsum Pura Traffic Inspector M. Rajendra Prasad , along with other staff members, were present.
The Traffic Police stated that stringent enforcement measures and awareness programmes will continue in the interest of road safety and appealed to the public for their full cooperation.
