Today is the Last Day to Apply for 764 DRDO CEPTAM-11 Posts

The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) , through its Centre for Personnel Talent Management (CEPTAM) , has reminded candidates that January 1, 2026 , is the final date to submit online applications for 764 vacancies of Senior Technical Assistant-B (STA-B) and Technician-A (Tech-A) posts. Interested candidates must apply through the official website https://www.drdo.gov.in.

The recruitment drive offers 561 STA-B positions and 203 Technician-A positions , with attractive pay scales under the 7th Central Pay Commission . STA-B posts carry a salary of ₹35,400 to ₹1,12,400 , while Technician-A posts offer ₹19,900 to ₹63,200 , along with allowances including Dearness Allowance, HRA, Transport, LTC, and medical benefits.

Eligible candidates must be Indian nationals aged between 18 and 28 years as on January 1, 2026, with age relaxation provided for SC/ST, OBC-NCL, and persons with benchmark disabilities. For STA-B positions, candidates should hold a B.Sc. or a three-year Diploma in a relevant engineering discipline , while for Technician-A, applicants must have passed 10th class and possess an ITI certificate in the relevant trade . Candidates with higher qualifications such as B.Tech, B.E., M.Sc., or Ph.D., as well as those awaiting results as on the eligibility date, are not eligible.

The selection process comprises a Tier-I Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by a Tier-II Descriptive Test for STA-B or Trade/Skill Test for Technician-A , along with document verification and medical examination . Candidates must meet strict health standards, as night blindness or color blindness will lead to disqualification. Selected candidates will have all-India service liability and must serve a minimum of five years at their first posting .

Applications require an online fee, with STA-B candidates paying ₹750 for general categories and Technician-A candidates paying ₹600 , while fees are lower or waived for SC/ST, women, PwBD, and ex-servicemen candidates. Part of the fee is refundable for those who appear in Tier-I CBT .
