Tiger Spotted Near Chagallu, Pawan Kalyan Directs Officials to Ensure Public Safety

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Forest and Environment Minister Pawan Kalyan has directed forest officials to intensify surveillance and take precautionary measures following reports of a tiger roaming near Chagallu village in East Godavari district.

During a review with senior forest department officials, Pawan Kalyan stressed the need to prevent any loss of life and instructed the department to expedite efforts to safely capture the tiger. The animal was reportedly spotted in agricultural fields near the village, raising concerns about the safety of residents in the surrounding areas.

The minister directed officials to continuously monitor the tiger’s movements and provide timely updates to the public about its location. He emphasised the need for effective coordination among the teams involved in the operation, as the animal was moving outside its natural forest habitat.

Pawan Kalyan also instructed officials to deploy Hanuman teams in the affected areas to track the tiger and monitor its movements closely. He said the operation should be conducted under the supervision of the Forest Department’s Zonal Conservator, with all necessary measures taken to capture the animal safely and avoid risks to people.

The Deputy Chief Minister appealed to residents to remain alert until the tiger is captured. He advised people to avoid going into agricultural fields alone and warned them against approaching the animal out of curiosity or attempting to observe it from close quarters.

He also urged residents to strictly follow the instructions and safety advisories issued by forest officials. The minister directed the department to review the situation continuously and respond promptly to any changes in the tiger’s movements.

Pawan Kalyan emphasised that public safety must remain the top priority throughout the operation. Officials were asked to maintain vigilance and ensure that residents in the affected areas faced minimal inconvenience while efforts continued to capture the tiger safely.
