In the Under-14 girls’ category, Menda Tapaswi won a gold medal and secured selection for the national championships scheduled to be held in Himachal Pradesh in January. Her achievement has earned her an opportunity to represent her talent at the national level.

In the Under-17 girls’ category, Janapana Vagdev Akshaya clinched gold and qualified for the national competition beginning October 22 in Jammu and Kashmir. Her performance added to the centre’s success at the state-level event.

In the Under-14 boys’ category, Ginni Deepak Reddy won a gold medal and earned selection for the national championships to be held in Nagaland in December. Meanwhile, Ginni Dilip Reddy, who secured a silver medal, was also congratulated by the minister for his performance.

Atchannaidu expressed happiness and pride over the achievements of the Tekkali players, noting that their success at the state level had opened the way for them to compete against athletes from across the country. He encouraged the selected players to continue working hard and aim for medals in the upcoming national competitions.

The minister also praised coach Narsipuram Sekhar for his efforts in identifying young talent, improving the players’ skills and preparing them for state and national-level tournaments.

Atchannaidu expressed confidence that the athletes would carry the same competitive spirit into the national championships and bring further recognition to Andhra Pradesh and the Tekkali constituency. The achievements highlight the importance of coaching, consistent training and opportunities for young athletes to progress to higher levels of competition.
