
Three Killed in Cylinder Explosion and House Fire in Telangana's Miryalaguda
Three people, including an elderly woman and two children , were killed after a gas cylinder exploded in a residential house in Miryalaguda town of Nalgonda district during the early hours of Friday.
The incident occurred in the Kalakawada area shortly after midnight. According to fire department officials, emergency services received an alert around 12:30 am about a major fire at a house in the locality.
A fire engine was immediately dispatched to the scene, and firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control. However, by the time rescue teams reached the house, a cylinder explosion had already caused extensive damage, claiming the lives of three occupants.
The deceased include an elderly woman, a young girl and a boy , officials said. Their bodies were later shifted to a government hospital for post-mortem examination .
Senior officials visited the site and launched an investigation into the circumstances leading to the explosion and subsequent fire.
A fire department officer said the department responded promptly after receiving information about the incident and succeeded in extinguishing the flames. The exact cause of the explosion is being investigated, and further details will be made public after the inquiry is completed.
