Three Arrested After Two Firing Attacks on Same Man in Northeast Delhi Over Rivalry

Delhi Police have solved two attempt-to-murder cases involving repeated firing at the same person in northeast Delhi, with three men arrested on Sunday in connection with the attacks linked to an alleged rivalry.

The accused, identified as Pawan (24), Krishna alias Kissu (23), and Shekhar alias Apraadhi (22) , are residents of New Usmanpur and have no previous criminal records, police said.

According to officials, the first incident took place on July 8 , when unidentified assailants allegedly opened fire at Ravi Prakash outside his residence in northeast Delhi. No injuries were reported in the attack, following which a case was registered.

The victim was allegedly targeted again on July 11 by the same group, during which he suffered a minor bullet injury to his leg. A second FIR was subsequently registered in connection with the incident.

During the investigation, police analysed footage from more than 50 CCTV cameras , examined technical evidence and collected information from local sources to identify the suspects. The three accused were later arrested and allegedly admitted during questioning that the attacks were carried out due to a rivalry arising from a recent altercation with the victim, a senior police officer said.

Police recovered a semi-automatic pistol and two live cartridges from the accused. Officials said further investigation is underway to establish additional details related to the case and identify any possible involvement of others.
