‘This Is a Political Conspiracy Against Me’: Union Minister Bandi Sanjay

Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Sunday strongly alleged that his political rivals were indulging in a “political conspiracy” to tarnish his reputation. He said dragging children and family members into political battles reflected the frustration and intolerance of his opponents. The Union Minister made the remarks in a detailed post on X on Saturday night.

“All the allegations made against me recently are baseless. Throughout my public life, I have always acted in accordance with the Constitution and the law. Mine is a political journey without any blemish. I have complete faith in the judiciary,” Bandi Sanjay said.

He expressed anguish that certain forces were unable to digest the rise of a Backward Classes (BC) leader who began as an ordinary party worker, became a councillor, and steadily rose through public support to become a Union Minister.

Bandi Sanjay alleged that the conspiracy was hatched specifically to target him personally ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public meeting. “Time will answer everything. Every conspiracy will be exposed. Satyameva Jayate,” he stated.

Meanwhile, Bandi Sanjay’s son, Bandi Bhageerath , lodged a complaint with the Karimnagar police on Saturday. According to a statement issued by the Union Minister’s public relations office, a woman allegedly attempted to lure him into a honey-trap using her daughter. The complaint further alleged that he was later blackmailed with demands for a huge amount of money.

The statement said the family approached the police following increasing harassment and threats. Reacting to the issue, BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) criticised the Telangana Police over the manner in which the case was being handled.

The incident has now become a major topic of discussion in Telangana politics.
