TGSRTC Dussehra special - Extra buses, special fare

With the Dussehra festival approaching, the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) is running special buses to handle the increased passenger traffic. Passengers traveling on these special festival services will have to pay an additional 50% on top of regular fares.

However, there will be no fare increase for regular buses, TGSRTC officials clarified. Extra buses will operate from September 16 to October 2 for festival travelers, and again from October 4 to 6 for return journeys.

TGSRTC emphasized that the decision aims to avoid burdening regular passengers while managing the heavy festival rush. Only the special buses will have the festival surcharge, and regular services will continue at normal fares. While the move may cause slight inconvenience, officials say it is necessary to ensure smooth travel during the festive season.
