The Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) has postponed its Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) Civil recruitment examination from November 6 to November 7 for candidates appearing for the Staff Selection Commission’s (SSC) Junior Engineer (JE) Civil examination. The decision follows concerns raised by aspirants over the clash between the two examinations, which had left thousands of civil engineering candidates worried about missing out on a recruitment opportunity.

The two examinations were initially scheduled for November 6, creating difficulties for candidates who had applied for both posts. The rescheduling is intended to give affected candidates an opportunity to appear for both recruitment tests. However, the change applies only to candidates appearing for the SSC JE Civil examination and does not constitute a general postponement for all AEE applicants.

The issue had drawn the attention of BRS leader T. Harish Rao, who urged the state government to intervene and resolve the scheduling conflict. He said more than 50,000 civil engineering aspirants were facing uncertainty because of the overlapping examination dates. Candidates who had prepared for both competitive examinations were concerned that they would have to sacrifice one opportunity despite investing time and effort in their preparation.

Harish Rao pointed out that the SSC had already announced its examination schedule on its official website, making it difficult for candidates to plan their participation in both tests. He also alleged that repeated appeals by students to ministers and officials had failed to elicit a response from the state government.

Criticising the government's handling of the issue, the BRS leader warned that the scheduling conflict could affect the career prospects of numerous young engineers. He called on Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to act promptly and ensure that candidates were not disadvantaged by administrative decisions.

The state government's move to reschedule the TGPSC AEE Civil examination for SSC JE Civil candidates is expected to provide relief to those affected by the date clash. The decision addresses the immediate concern raised by aspirants seeking an opportunity to compete in both recruitment examinations.

Candidates should check the official TGPSC notification and examination instructions to confirm the revised schedule and determine whether the change applies to their individual circumstances.
