TGPSC declares group-2 final results:782 candidates selected

The Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) officially announced the final results for the Group-2 recruitment examinations on Sunday. The commission released the list of selected candidates for 18 categories of posts on its website. Out of the 783 notified posts, 782 candidates were finalized, while one post has been kept on hold.

Going into the details, the notification for 783 Group-2 posts was issued on December 29, 2022. These included key positions such as Assistant Commercial Tax Officer, Sub-Registrar Grade-II, Municipal Commissioner Grade-III, Prohibition & Excise Sub-Inspector, and Assistant Labour Officer. Lakhs of candidates across the state had applied for these posts.

After several postponements, the written examination was finally conducted successfully in four sessions on December 15 and 16, 2024. Based on candidates’ performance, the General Ranking List was published in March 2025. Certificate verification was then carried out in phases for those who qualified in the merit list. Taking into account verified documents, the options given by candidates, their merit rankings, and reservation rules, the commission prepared the final merit list. The commission stated that the highest marks scored in the exam were 447.08 out of 600.

Speaking about the results, TSPSC Chairman Burra Venkatesham said that the commission had declared the final results within 10 months of conducting the exam. He added that the results could have been released even earlier had it not been for the legal issues surrounding the Group-1 exam. The commission advised candidates to check the official website tspsc.gov.in for the list of selected candidates and cutoff marks, using their hall ticket numbers to verify results.
