
Tesla Store Now in Hyd! EV Giant Plans Sales and Service Centre
In a significant boost to Telangana’s growing electric vehicle ecosystem, global EV giant Tesla has expressed interest in establishing a sales and service centre in Hyderabad , further strengthening the city’s position as a major technology and mobility hub in India.
The development came after representatives from Tesla India met Telangana IT and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu on Friday to discuss the company’s expansion plans in the country. According to the Telangana government, Tesla is preparing to launch its sales and service operations in Hyderabad as part of its next phase of growth in India.
Tesla has already established showrooms in major Indian cities including Mumbai , Delhi , Bengaluru and Chennai , making Hyderabad the latest city being considered for the company’s expanding India footprint.
Speaking during the meeting, Sridhar Babu said Telangana has developed a strong ecosystem for electric vehicles and intelligent mobility systems backed by advanced technologies and a skilled workforce. He highlighted that the state has emerged as a major hub for semiconductor design, automobile software, electronics engineering, and deep technology industries .
The minister congratulated Tesla India General Manager Sharad Agarwal and Lead Public Policy and Business Development Director Rajat for choosing Hyderabad as the next destination for Tesla’s expansion in India. He also welcomed the company’s growing interest in Telangana’s industrial and technology ecosystem.
The Telangana government invited Tesla to explore opportunities for setting up ancillary industries and related manufacturing units in the state, assuring full support for investments in technology and industrial sectors.
Tesla’s proposed entry into Hyderabad is being viewed as another major endorsement of Telangana’s rising profile in the electric mobility sector . Industry experts believe the move could further accelerate EV adoption and attract additional global investments into the state’s rapidly expanding technology landscape.
