Territorial Army Rally Recruitment 2025, applications open for 1529 Soldier posts

The Territorial Army has announced its 2025 recruitment drive, inviting eligible candidates to apply for 1,529 Soldier posts across various units. The recruitment process will be conducted through offline applications, which are scheduled to open on 15 November 2025 and close on 14 December 2025. Interested candidates are required to submit their applications directly through the official Territorial Army website, territorialarmy.in

The recruitment covers multiple units, with vacancies distributed among male-only and male-and-female posts. Key units include the 107 Infantry Battalion (Gorkha Rifles) with 102 vacancies, 113 Infantry Battalion (Rajput) with 129 vacancies, 119 Infantry Battalion (Assam) with 94 vacancies, and 121 Infantry Battalion (Garhwal Rifles) with 134 vacancies. For both male and female candidates, significant openings are available in 164 Infantry Battalion (Home & Hearth, Naga) with 437 posts, 165 Infantry Battalion (Assam) with 360 posts, and 166 Infantry Battalion (Assam) with 273 posts.

Eligibility criteria vary depending on the specific post. For Soldier (General Duty), candidates must have passed Class 10 with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks and at least 33% in each subject. Candidates applying for Soldier (Clerk) positions must have passed Class 12 in any stream with 60% aggregate marks, securing at least 50% in English and Mathematics or Accounts. For Soldier Tradesmen positions, educational qualifications range from Class 8 to Class 10 depending on the role, with a minimum of 33% marks in each subject.

Applicants must also meet physical standards, which differ for male and female candidates. Male candidates are required to have a minimum height of 160 cm (relaxable to 157 cm for candidates from the Eastern Himalayan Region, Gorkhas, Garhwalis, and Ladakhis), with a chest measurement of 82 cm (expanded) and 77 cm (unexpanded). Female candidates must have a minimum height of 157 cm (relaxable to 152 cm for certain regions) and a chest expansion of at least 5 cm. Weight should be proportionate to height and age as per Army medical standards. The age range for applicants is 18 to 42 years, with applicable age relaxations as per government rules.

The selection process will include a trade test, document verification, physical fitness test, written examination, medical examination, and a final merit list. Candidates must carry original documents along with two attested photocopies of each. Required documents include birth certificate, educational certificates, domicile, caste/tribe certificate, religion certificate (if applicable), character certificate, marital status certificate, and relationship certificate for children of servicemen, ex-servicemen, or war widows.

This recruitment drive offers candidates an opportunity to serve in the Territorial Army while gaining valuable training and experience.
