Telangana's Per Capita Income Rises to ₹4.18 Lakh, Reflecting Congress Governance: CM Revanth Reddy

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Saturday said the state's economy has recorded strong growth under the Congress government, with the latest figures showing a significant rise in per capita income. Sharing the details on X, the Chief Minister said Telangana's per capita income for the 2025-26 financial year reached ₹4,18,931, up from ₹3,80,031 in the previous year. The increase of ₹38,900, representing a 10.23% annual growth, reflects the state's improving economic strength and development trajectory, he said.

Highlighting the government's long-term vision, Revanth Reddy said Telangana is steadily advancing under the 'Telangana Rising' initiative, with a target of becoming a $1 trillion economy by 2034 and achieving a $3 trillion Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) by 2047. He attributed the state's progress to policy-based governance, higher investment inflows, expansion of employment opportunities and balanced development across sectors.

The Chief Minister said the government has prioritised long-term policy decisions over short-term measures, while continuous reviews, close monitoring of governance and regular consultations with stakeholders have helped improve administrative efficiency. According to him, these initiatives have created a stronger foundation for sustained economic growth and increased public confidence.

Revanth Reddy also claimed that the Congress government has reversed the atmosphere of uncertainty that prevailed during the previous decade, replacing it with optimism and renewed confidence among the people. He said the benefits of the government's programmes are reaching all sections of society, with women, farmers and youth emerging as the biggest beneficiaries. Expressing confidence about the state's future, he said Telangana would continue to witness higher economic growth and improved welfare outcomes in the coming years.

The Chief Minister also reiterated the government's focus on attracting investments while addressing the CII Northern Regional Council 2026-27 third meeting held recently. He described Telangana as one of the country's most investor-friendly and secure destinations, inviting industries and businesses to establish operations in the state. Elaborating on the 'Telangana Rising – Vision 2047' roadmap, he said the proposed 'Bharat Future City' is being planned with a master plan prepared by a Singapore-based company. The project, he added, is envisioned on the lines of Gujarat's GIFT City and is expected to emerge as a world-class hub for business, finance and innovation.

According to the latest figures for 2025-26, Karnataka ranked first in per capita income with ₹4,33,326, followed by Telangana at ₹4,18,931. Tamil Nadu stood third with ₹4,08,027, while Gujarat (₹3,57,531), Maharashtra (₹3,47,903) and Andhra Pradesh (₹2,94,507) followed in the rankings.
