
Telangana Transfers 10 IAS Officers, Jyoti Buddha Prakash Appointed as Singareni CMD
The Telangana government has carried out a significant administrative reshuffle , transferring 10 IAS officers to strengthen governance , improve coordination, and speed up decision-making across key departments and public sector institutions. Orders were issued through G.O. Rt. No. 202 by the General Administration Department, with the exercise aimed at enhancing efficiency in welfare delivery , planning , infrastructure management, and state enterprises .
A major highlight of the reshuffle is the appointment of Jyoti Buddha Prakash , who previously served as Secretary of the Scheduled Caste Development Department, as Chairman and Managing Director of Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) , the state’s flagship coal mining public sector undertaking that plays a crucial role in energy supply , regional employment , and the economy of coal-belt districts. The move is seen as an effort to combine administrative experience with stronger focus on worker welfare , community engagement , and institutional oversight in the mining giant.
Sabyasachi Ghosh has been posted as Special Chief Secretary of the Scheduled Caste Development Department while continuing to oversee tribal welfare responsibilities, ensuring continuity in the implementation of key social justice and development schemes. Divya has been given additional charge as Panchayat Raj Commissioner , reinforcing local governance administration, while Sandeep Kumar Sultania will handle additional responsibilities as Principal Secretary, Planning , a role central to aligning state budgets with development priorities.
Katyayani Devi has been transferred as State Nodal Officer for Prajavani and assigned additional charge as Joint Managing Director of the State Finance Corporation, linking grievance redressal and financial administration. Mayank Mittal has been appointed Joint Managing Director of the Water Board, and Raghuram Sharma will serve as Special Secretary in the Industries Department, a department critical for industrial growth and investment facilitation. The reshuffle orders were formally issued by Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao , reflecting the government’s broader push to tighten administrative control and improve public service delivery.
