Telangana Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy has announced that the state government will soon issue recruitment notifications for another 14,000 government jobs. He also expressed confidence that Congress candidate Ramreddy Sarvottam Reddy would secure a decisive victory in the Khammam-Nalgonda-Warangal Graduates’ MLC election.

Addressing a preparatory meeting organised by the Khammam District Congress Committee at the SR Convention in Khammam on Saturday, Ponguleti urged party leaders and workers to work collectively to ensure a massive majority for the Congress candidate through first-preference votes.

Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao, Khammam MP Ramasahayam Raghuram Reddy and MLC candidate Ramreddy Sarvottam Reddy attended the meeting.

Ponguleti said the Congress government, under Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, had undertaken 75,000 government job appointments since assuming office. The upcoming recruitment of another 14,000 employees would create further employment opportunities, he said.

He added that the government had also cleared pending dues to prevent serving government employees and retired personnel from facing financial difficulties. Development and welfare schemes implemented by the state were benefiting people across different sections of society, he said.

The minister stressed that graduate voter registration would be crucial to the party’s prospects in the upcoming MLC election. He directed party cadres to complete the registration process by November 6 and expand their outreach to eligible graduates.

He asked mandal presidents, local leaders and workers to treat each mandal as a separate unit and facilitate online registration across villages in coordination with graduates. Calling for a campaign driven by the energy of Generation Z, he urged the party to prepare a strategy to achieve 95 per cent voter turnout.

Ponguleti said Sarvottam Reddy’s family had maintained a four-generation association with the Congress. He accused opposition parties of spreading false information about the candidate to gain votes on sympathetic grounds.

Urging graduates to distinguish facts from misinformation, he described Khammam as a Congress stronghold and called for unity among party leaders and workers to secure a resounding victory for Sarvottam Reddy.
