

Telangana SSC Results 2026: Pass Rate Jumps to 95.16%, Gurukuls Excel
Telangana’s Class 10 (SSC) results for 2026 were declared on Wednesday, showcasing a strong improvement in academic performance across the state. Government advisor K. Keshava Rao released the results, with an overall pass percentage of 95.16% , marking a significant rise from last year’s 92.78% . More than 5.28 lakh students appeared for the examinations held earlier this year, reflecting the scale and reach of the state’s secondary education system.
Continuing a consistent trend, girls outperformed boys once again. The pass percentage among girls stood at 96.26% , compared to 94.07% among boys , highlighting stronger academic outcomes among female students. At the district level, Mulugu emerged as the top performer with an exceptional 99.30% pass rate , while Hyderabad recorded the lowest at 89.23% , pointing to regional disparities in educational outcomes .
A key highlight of this year’s results was the outstanding performance of BC Welfare Gurukuls and residential institutions . While the state average stood at 95.16%, BC Gurukuls achieved an impressive 98.99% pass rate , securing a top position among institutional categories. These schools, designed to support students from disadvantaged backgrounds, continue to demonstrate high academic consistency and structured learning outcomes , emerging as models of public education success .
In terms of institutional performance, 204 out of 294 schools achieved a 100% pass rate , underlining improvements in teaching quality and academic monitoring . From BC Gurukuls alone, 19,245 students appeared , of whom 19,047 cleared the exams , including 9,093 boys and 9,954 girls . Students from BC welfare hostels also performed strongly, recording a 96.05% pass rate , with 285 out of 365 hostels achieving 100% results .
The results also reflected a high concentration of top scorers , indicating improved learning outcomes. Nitisha and Srinidhi topped the state with 588 marks , while Sai Manoj Reddy and Lasya secured 587 marks . Overall, 60 students scored above 580 , 364 students crossed 570 , and 1,061 students scored above 560 marks . Notably, 3,598 students achieved over 90% marks , pointing to a growing pool of high achievers.
Officials attributed the improved results to focused academic interventions, residential schooling models, and better access to learning resources , including digital support systems. Increasingly, rural and smaller districts are outperforming urban centres , suggesting that targeted governance and institutional frameworks are yielding results.
Within hours of the result announcement, authorities released the schedule for Advanced Supplementary Examinations , which will be conducted from June 5 to June 12, 2026 . Students who did not pass can pay the examination fee online through their schools until May 14 . The exams will be held daily from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM , ensuring students get a timely opportunity to improve their scores without losing an academic year.
Congratulating students, officials including Ponnam Prabhakar , Bala Mayadevi , and Badugu Saidulu praised the efforts of students, teachers, and parents , noting that the results reflect not just individual achievement but also systemic improvements in Telangana’s education ecosystem .
