Telangana Sees Massive Youth Entry into BJP, Says Ramchander Rao
In a major political shift, several young leaders from BRS , Congress , and other parties officially joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at the state office in Hyderabad on Wednesday.
Telangana BJP president Ramchander Rao warmly welcomed the newcomers and said the party’s influence in the state is steadily growing. He highlighted the rising appeal of the BJP among the youth , pointing out that many young leaders from rival parties are now gravitating toward the BJP. Mr.Rao noted that citizens, especially the younger generation, are looking for strong leadership to secure India’s future.
Mr.Rao also emphasized the need to further strengthen Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership nationally. Criticizing opposition leader Rahul Gandhi , he alleged that Gandhi’s actions at international forums have hurt India’s prestige , pointing to attempts to undermine the country during the AI Summit in front of foreign dignitaries.
Looking ahead, Mr.Rao expressed confidence that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will win the upcoming elections. He observed that public sentiment in Tamil Nadu and West Bengal is shifting against the opposition alliance, creating favorable conditions for the NDA.
He also cited a recent editorial in the Marathi daily Saamna on leadership changes in Shiv Sena (UBT), which highlighted internal dissent and the opposition alliance’s weaknesses. Mr.Rao warned that the coalition is politically weak and risks fragmentation, especially in states like West Bengal and Tamil Nadu, paving the way for NDA governments.
According to Mr.Rao, the opposition coalition is currently politically weakened and could face further fragmentation in the future. He added that public discontent in West Bengal and Tamil Nadu suggests that NDA governments are likely to emerge in these states in the coming elections.
