The Telangana School Education Department has directed all private schools in the state to publicly display their class-wise fee details for the 2026-27 academic year, making fee information more transparent for students and parents.

School Education Director E. Naveen Nicholas said private schools must prominently display their fee structure on the school notice board and also publish it on their respective websites. The details must additionally be uploaded to the department’s official portal, schooledu.telangana.gov.in.

The department has made a dedicated facility available on the portal to enable private school managements to submit their fee-related information. Schools have also been instructed to upload supporting documents showing the basis for fixing class-wise fees for the current academic year.

These documents must carry the signatures of members of the respective school management committees, the department said. The entire process has to be carried out in accordance with the provisions contained in the 1994 government orders governing fee-related matters in private schools.

The department has also placed responsibility on Regional Joint Directors (RJDs) and District Educational Officers (DEOs) to ensure compliance by private schools within their jurisdictions.

Schools that fail to display their fee details on the notice board or website will face show-cause notices, officials were told. Further violations will invite appropriate action under the applicable government orders.

The latest directive is aimed at ensuring that parents have clear access to the fees being charged by private schools and that institutions follow the prescribed regulatory framework while fixing and communicating their fee structures.
