
Telangana rising global summit begins today: Vision 2047 document to be released
The Telangana government’s prestigious ‘Telangana Rising Global Summit’ is set to begin today at Bharat Future City, near Hyderabad, and will continue till December 9. The two-day international summit aims to showcase Telangana’s long-term growth vision, industrial potential, and investment opportunities to the world.
Officials announced that over 2,500 delegates from 42 countries have registered for the event. Business leaders, industry pioneers, researchers, Nobel laureates and global investors are expected to participate in the discussions and exhibitions.
Nobel laureates, global CEOs to attend
Notable personalities including Nobel Prize winners Abhijit Banerjee and Kailash Satyarthi, Trump Media & Technology Group Director Eric Swider, and Biocon Chairperson Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw are among the distinguished attendees for the inaugural ceremony.
During the summit, the state government will unveil the ‘Telangana Rising 2047 Vision Document’, a comprehensive roadmap that outlines Telangana’s long-term growth strategy, aiming to transform the state into a $1 trillion economy by 2034 and a $3 trillion economy by 2047. The document focuses on expanding industrial capacity, accelerating innovation, attracting global investments, and strengthening key sectors to position Telangana as a major economic powerhouse in the coming decades.
The plan emphasizes industrial expansion, innovation-driven growth, large-scale investment, and global competitiveness.
Governor to inaugurate:CM reviews arrangements
Governor Jishnu Dev Varma will formally inaugurate the summit at 1 PM today. Ahead of the event, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy personally inspected the arrangements at Bharat Future City on Saturday evening.
As part of the Congress government completing two years in office, the summit is being held alongside a series of celebratory public programs.
Mega Messi match on December 13: Tight security in place
Adding to the festive atmosphere, Telangana will host a special friendly football match on December 13 at Uppal Stadium, featuring global football icon Lionel Messi leading one team against a team captained by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. Thousands of fans from across India are expected to attend.
Given Messi’s presence, security has been significantly strengthened. Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka stated that international-standard security arrangements are being implemented, with Hyderabad and Rachakonda Police Commissioners directly overseeing the preparations.
CM orders world-class summit arrangements
The Chief Minister instructed officials to conduct the summit with the highest international standards, ensuring flawless management across all segments.
During an aerial survey by helicopter, followed by an on-ground inspection, the CM reviewed:
The Chief Minister conducted an aerial survey followed by a detailed ground inspection of the summit venue, reviewing every aspect of the arrangements including venue infrastructure, security planning and fire-safety measures. He examined the digital exhibitions designed to showcase the Telangana Rising 2047 vision, and also assessed facilities being provided for international delegates such as accommodation, transportation, and hospitality services. Additionally, he directed officials to ensure that the cultural programmes reflect Telangana’s rich heritage and identity, making the event both world-class and culturally vibrant.
The CM also proposed installing a Telangana Thalli (Mother Telangana) statue at the summit venue.
He stressed that every aspect from protocol arrangements to showcasing the state’s cultural richness and cuisine must reflect Telangana’s identity and developmental ambitions.
Ministers, senior IAS officers and key officials accompanied the CM during the review.
