Telangana releases 10th class exam timetable for 2025-26

The Telangana State Education Department on Tuesday officially announced the timetable for the 10th class public examinations for the 2025-26 academic year. The exams are scheduled to begin on March 14, 2026, and continue until April 13, 2026. They will start immediately after the completion of the intermediate examinations.

This year, the department has made key changes to the schedule to reduce student stress and make preparation more manageable.

According to the released timetable, the exams will begin with the first language (Telugu) on March 14. The second language (Hindi) exam will follow on March 18, and the third language (English) on March 23. The mathematics exam is scheduled for March 28. Science exams have been split into two parts, with Physics on April 2 and Biology on April 7. The public exams will conclude with Social Studies on April 13. Vocational courses and Open School Secondary Course (OSSC) main language exams will be held on April 15 and 16.

Most exams will be conducted from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. However, science papers will be shorter, running from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Additionally, the last 30 minutes of each exam (15 minutes for science exams) have been reserved for objective-type questions.

One of the most notable changes this year is the longer break between exams. Previously, students had only one or two days between tests, which often left them underprepared and stressed. The new schedule provides a minimum three-day gap between each major exam. Some exams will have four to five days of gap due to holidays like Ramadan, Ugadi, and Sri Rama Navami. Officials believe these longer intervals will give students ample time to revise thoroughly and approach each subject with less pressure.
