In a significant development for Tollywood audiences, the Telangana government has rolled back the recently approved ticket price hike for Pawan Kalyan’s highly anticipated film They Call Him OG . The move comes after the Telangana High Court suspended the hike in response to a public interest litigation filed by advocate B. Mallesh Yadav.

According to the interim order, multiplex tickets have now been capped at ₹295, while single-screen balcony seats are restricted to ₹175, reinstating the 2021 standard rates. The revised pricing will be implemented immediately for all evening shows and enforced across the state from September 30, 2025, coinciding with the Dasara festival season.

High Court Steps In

The court’s decision aims to protect audiences from inflated ticket rates during festive releases, a trend that has become common for big-budget Telugu films. By bringing ticket prices back to regular levels, the court has sought to balance industry profits with public affordability.
