The Telangana government has reshuffled its administrative machinery by transferring and posting several Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers and assigning additional responsibilities to others. The General Administration Department (GAD) issued orders on Wednesday, covering 12 officers through new appointments, changes in departmental responsibilities and full additional charge (FAC) arrangements across key wings of the state administration.

The reshuffle brings changes to several important departments, including forests, energy, sports, panchayat raj and revenue. Jayesh Ranjan has been appointed Special Chief Secretary to the Forest Department, while Vikas Raj will head the Energy Department in the same capacity. Vani Prasad has been appointed Special Chief Secretary to the Sports Department, and Naveen Mittal has been assigned the post of Special Chief Secretary to the Panchayat Raj Department. Shailaja Ramaiyer has been appointed Principal Secretary to the Revenue Department.

The government has also extended the tenure of Dana Kishore, who serves as Special Secretary to the Governor. In another significant arrangement, Rahul Bojja has been given full additional charge as Principal Secretary to the Tribal Welfare Department. He will also continue to hold full additional charge responsibilities in the Backward Classes Welfare Department, placing two major welfare portfolios under his administrative oversight.

Sarfaraz Ahmed has been entrusted with additional responsibilities involving key urban development and civic administration bodies. His new assignments cover the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA), Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), and the Cyberabad and Malkajgiri municipal corporations. These bodies play important roles in urban planning, infrastructure development and civic service delivery across the Hyderabad metropolitan region.

Meanwhile, Shilpi Oza has been appointed Special Secretary to the Women and Child Welfare Department. K. Ilambarithi will serve as Secretary to the Transport, Roads and Buildings Department, while Mohammed Musharraf Ali has been appointed Director of the Medical and Health Department.

The government has also assigned Jitesh V. Patil, Chairman and Managing Director of Telangana State Northern Power Distribution Company Limited (TG NPDCL), additional charge as Vice-Chairman of the Telangana State Renewable Energy Development Corporation (TGREDCO).
