The Telangana Government has extended the deadline for ration card e-KYC completion by another month, giving beneficiaries more time to update their details. The verification process, which was originally scheduled to end on July 31, can now be completed until August 31.

Announcing the extension, CRO Rajireddy said the decision was taken to ensure that eligible beneficiaries are not inconvenienced due to the heavy rains across the state and the ongoing Special Intensive Revisions (SIR) process.

Officials urged all ration card holders who are yet to complete their e-KYC to make use of the extended deadline. Completing the verification is essential for the uninterrupted receipt of benefits provided under the Public Distribution System (PDS) and other government welfare schemes.

The e-KYC process is simple and can be completed by visiting the nearest Fair Price Shop (ration shop). Beneficiaries are required to authenticate their identity using biometric fingerprint verification on the designated device available at the outlet.

Meanwhile, the Civil Supplies Department has announced that beneficiaries will receive three months' worth of free ration in a single distribution between August 1 and August 31. The department advised all eligible families to complete their e-KYC before the revised deadline to avoid any disruption in receiving their entitled food grains and other welfare benefits.

Officials reiterated that the extension is intended to provide adequate time for beneficiaries, particularly those affected by adverse weather conditions, to complete the mandatory verification process without difficulty. They also appealed to all eligible ration card holders to finish the formalities well before August 31 to ensure seamless access to government support programs.
