The 72nd birthday of former Telangana Chief Minister and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) president Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) was celebrated with great enthusiasm in Kuwait , highlighting his continued influence among the global Telugu diaspora . The event was organised by BRS NRI Kuwait under the leadership of its president Abhilasha Godishala , with participation from expatriate Indians and members of the Telangana community.

Marking the occasion in a spirit of social responsibility, organisers conducted a blood donation camp , encouraging voluntary participation as a humanitarian gesture. Several members came forward to donate blood, underscoring the diaspora’s commitment to community service . The programme concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony, during which attendees extended heartfelt birthday wishes to KCR.

Speaking on the occasion, Abhilasha Godishala praised KCR’s leadership, stating that his role from spearheading the Telangana statehood movement to guiding the state’s development trajectory remains historic and inspirational. She noted that welfare initiatives, large-scale irrigation projects such as Kaleshwaram , expansion of drinking water access through Mission Bhagiratha , and investments in infrastructure and agriculture during his tenure continue to be referenced in governance discussions.

She expressed hope that KCR enjoys long life and good health and conveyed the sentiment among supporters that he may once again lead Telangana in the future. She added that many within the diaspora believe the state’s sustained progress is closely linked to his leadership vision and policy direction.
