Telangana Cabinet To Review Key Irrigation And Welfare Issues Today

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will chair the state cabinet meeting today. The 32nd state cabinet meeting will begin at 3:00 PM in the Cabinet Hall on the sixth floor of the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Telangana Secretariat.

The meeting is expected to discuss several key issues related to irrigation projects and welfare schemes of the state.

A major agenda item is the review of the Kaleshwaram Project restoration . The Chief Minister will discuss with ministers the required technical modifications in the project and its future course of action. The cabinet is also likely to take a decision on matters related to the Thummidihatti project , part of the Pranahita-Chevella project.

The progress of the state’s six guarantee schemes and their implementation status will also be reviewed in detail. In view of the upcoming monsoon season, the cabinet is expected to take decisions on the agriculture action plan , including the supply of seeds, fertilisers, and arrangements for farmers.

Other issues on the agenda include the development of Gachibowli Stadium and the filling of nominated posts in the state. The cabinet is also likely to take key administrative decisions and review pending appointments under development programmes.

In addition, the implementation status of recent cabinet decisions, including retirement benefits for government employees , will also be reviewed.

Overall, officials believe that today’s cabinet meeting is likely to provide direction on key areas such as state development, irrigation projects, agricultural planning, and employee welfare .
