Telangana BJP Leaders Hail Union Budget as Roadmap to Viksit Bharat
Telangana BJP leaders have collectively welcomed the Union Budget 2026–27 as a vision-driven , growth-oriented blueprint aligned with the national goal of Viksit Bharat , saying it combines long-term ambition with practical delivery. Telangana BJP State President N. Ramchander Rao described the Budget as a historic roadmap that proves initiatives like Atmanirbhar Bharat are not mere slogans but part of a structured national strategy under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said the financial plan is designed to strengthen every sector , uplift all sections of society , and unlock the productive potential of citizens, with a clear focus on manufacturing , infrastructure , healthcare , tourism , rural development , and emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence . According to him, the Budget balances bold targets with implementable pathways , ensuring stable support for sustained economic expansion while positioning India not as a follower, but as a global growth leader .
Union Minister and senior Telangana BJP leader G. Kishan Reddy also praised the Budget’s direction, highlighting that Telangana stands to gain from increased tax devolution , reported at around ₹33,180 crore for the coming financial year, which provides the state with greater fiscal flexibility for welfare and development spending. He underlined the Centre’s push for farmers’ welfare , MSME expansion , and urban infrastructure financing , noting that dedicated funds and policy support could energize Telangana’s industrial clusters and startup ecosystem. Leaders said the emphasis on youth empowerment , women-led development , and strengthening the agricultural backbone reflects a balanced social and economic approach rather than sector-specific spending alone. The Budget’s support for domestic production and job creation, they added, aligns with Telangana’s growing manufacturing and services base.
A major highlight repeatedly stressed by state BJP leaders is the proposed high-speed rail corridors connecting Hyderabad with key metropolitan cities, which they called a transformational milestone for Telangana. They believe such connectivity will reduce travel time, attract investment, raise logistics efficiency, and stimulate real estate and industrial growth along the routes. Politically, leaders framed this as recognition of Hyderabad’s national importance, while also urging swift preparation of DPRs and approvals to convert announcements into on-ground projects. At the same time, they acknowledged that public debate continues over allocations for other pending state projects, indicating that the coming months will see active engagement between state stakeholders and the Centre to secure clearances and funding.
Calling the Budget a step in the journey from “Antyodaya to Abhyudaya,” Telangana BJP voices said it lays a foundation for the next 25 years of nation-building and reflects the broader Viksit Bharat–2047 vision. They argue that by combining welfare priorities for the poor , farmers , women , and youth with infrastructure-led growth, the Budget aims to transform India into a major economic power , with Telangana positioned to benefit significantly if project execution keeps pace with policy intent.
