Telangana Assembly Convenes as Key Bills, Water Rights Row Top Agenda

The winter session of the Telangana Legislature began on Monday, setting the stage for a high-voltage political showdown between the ruling Congress and the opposition Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) . With inter-State river water sharing, irrigation projects, and welfare implementation emerging as major flashpoints, the session is expected to witness heated debates and sharp exchanges on the floor of the House.

The session is scheduled to commence with a joint sitting of the Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council. The Business Advisory Committee (BAC) is expected to meet during the session to finalise the duration and daily business schedule.
