Teachers Who Climbed Konda Reddy Buruju Can Scale Tadepalli Palace Too: Minister Savita

Andhra Pradesh Minister Savita launched a strong attack on the YSR Congress Party over the controversy surrounding the Mega DSC-2025 recruitment, asserting that teachers would not tolerate attempts to undermine their hard work and dignity.

Reacting to the protest by teachers at Konda Reddy Buruju in Kurnool, Savita said Rayalaseema teachers had sounded the “war bugle” on Sunday. She remarked that teachers who could climb Konda Reddy Buruju would have no difficulty reaching Tadepalli Palace if their interests and self-respect were challenged.

The minister warned YSRCP president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy against continuing what she described as a campaign of misinformation over the conduct of DSC-2025. She said such statements could provoke a strong reaction from teachers.

Savita challenged Jagan to come to the Assembly and raise any doubts he had regarding the recruitment process. She said the government was ready to provide him adequate time and a respectful platform to present his arguments. The government, she added, was even prepared to hold a full-day debate on the Mega DSC if required.

According to Savita, the DSC recruitment had brought employment and renewed hope to around 16,000 families. She criticised YSRCP leaders for allegedly making statements that demean teachers who secured jobs through their merit and hard work.

The minister said questioning the effort, talent and self-respect of successful candidates was unacceptable. “We will not tolerate attempts to hurt their dignity,” she asserted, adding that Jagan should not make it a political objective to insult teachers.

Savita maintained that any concerns over the recruitment process should be discussed through democratic forums rather than by discrediting candidates who earned their positions through merit.
