In a major technological shift, the Telugu Desam Party has announced that its flagship annual convention, “Mahanadu-2026,” will be held entirely in virtual mode this year. Party state president Kinjarapu Atchannaidu said the decision was taken as part of the party’s cost-cutting measures and efforts to adopt modern systems.

He stated that N. Chandrababu Naidu opted for the digital format to ensure financial discipline while conducting the event on a grand scale using advanced technology . The party leadership is reportedly making elaborate arrangements to transform this year’s “Yellow Festival” into a modern and highly interactive political event.

The two-day online convention will be held on May 27 and 28 , with NTR Bhavan serving as the main venue. A special stage is being prepared at the party headquarters to facilitate live-streaming of speeches, discussions and party resolutions across Andhra Pradesh.

To ensure active participation from grassroots workers and local leaders, the party has planned large-scale digital outreach across the state. Large LED screens will be installed in all 1,848 clusters , enabling party cadres and local leadership to gather together and watch the proceedings collectively.

Describing the initiative as a unique blend of politics and innovation, Atchannaidu said the digital Mahanadu would connect the party’s leadership and cadre on a single platform irrespective of geographical distance. He urged every party worker and supporter to actively participate and make the event a grand success.
