Tamannaah Bhatia, Junaid Khan team up for Ragini 3

The popular Ragini horror franchise is set to return to the big screen with its third installment, Ragini 3 , bringing together Tamannaah Bhatia and Junaid Khan for the first time. The film will be directed by Shashanka Ghosh and produced by Ektaa R Kapoor under the Balaji banner.

The Ragini franchise began with Ragini MMS , which gained cult status for its found-footage style and eerie realism inspired by urban legends. The 2011 film stood out for its minimalist approach to horror and its focus on surveillance, voyeurism and the fear of being watched. Its success led to a bigger, more commercial sequel, Ragini MMS 2 , which blended horror with mainstream entertainment elements and went on to become a box-office success.

Ragini 3 is expected to revisit the franchise’s core themes of digital paranoia and psychological fear, while presenting them through a contemporary lens. Industry sources suggest the film will be a fresh take rather than a direct continuation of the earlier stories, aiming to appeal to both long-time fans and a new generation of viewers.
