
Tabu, Nagarjuna Akkineni Reunite for Milestone Film King 100
Veteran actor Nagarjuna Akkineni’s milestone 100th film King 100 has officially gone on floors, with actress Tabu joining the shoot at Annapurna Studios. The film, directed by R. A. Karthik, is billed as a blend of action and family drama, and is already generating strong buzz for its ambitious use of de-aging technology.
According to sources, the film will depict Nagarjuna across multiple phases of life, ranging from 25 to 60 years , with advanced visual effects playing a key role in shaping his on-screen transformation. The project is being positioned as a landmark in the actor’s illustrious career.
Tabu, who began shooting her portions, shared a glimpse from her first day on set via social media, captioning it with details of the take “Scene 15, Shot 12, Take 1 .” The production team extended a warm welcome to the actress, describing her presence as an honour for the prestigious venture.
King 100 also marks a much-anticipated reunion between Nagarjuna and Tabu, a duo fondly remembered for their chemistry in classics like Ninne Pelladatha and Aavida Maa Aavide . Their return to the screen together has sparked excitement among fans, who consider them one of Telugu cinema’s most iconic pairs.
Adding to the team is Sushmitha Konidela (popularly associated with her label Conjeevaram), who is part of the project in a key creative capacity. The daughter of megastar Chiranjeevi and sister of Ram Charan, she is known for her work as a costume designer and producer, bringing a strong design sensibility and industry experience to the film.
