T Natarajan Returns to SRH, Zeeshan Ansari Joins Delhi Capitals in IPL Trade
Left-arm pacer T Natarajan has returned to Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), while leg-spinner Zeeshan Ansari has moved to Delhi Capitals (DC) in a player trade between the two IPL franchises on Wednesday.
Natarajan will join the 2016 IPL champions for a revised fee of Rs 5 crore. Delhi Capitals had acquired the 35-year-old bowler for Rs 10.75 crore at the IPL 2025 auction. His return reunites him with SRH, where he played for five seasons from 2020 to 2024 and established himself as one of the tournament’s effective Indian left-arm seam bowlers.
Natarajan enjoyed his most successful IPL season in 2024, taking 19 wickets, the highest tally among SRH bowlers that season. His performances played an important role in helping the team reach the final.
According to the IPL, Ansari will join Delhi Capitals at his existing fee of Rs 40 lakh. The 26-year-old spinner featured in 10 matches for SRH during the 2026 season. He made an impressive start to his IPL career by taking three wickets on debut against Delhi Capitals.
Ansari has claimed six wickets in 10 IPL appearances and is expected to add depth to Delhi’s spin-bowling department.
Natarajan, who has also represented India in one Test and two One Day Internationals, has taken 72 wickets in 73 IPL matches, with best bowling figures of 4/19.
The trade brings a familiar campaigner back to Hyderabad while giving Delhi Capitals another spin option ahead of the next IPL season.
