Suriya's latest family drama 'Vishwanath & Sons' has made a strong start at the worldwide box office, crossing the ₹100-crore mark within just two days of its theatrical release. The film, directed by Venky Atluri, has continued its momentum through the opening weekend, with reports putting its worldwide gross at around ₹110.22 crore by the end of Day 3.

Released on August 14, the Tamil-language family entertainer stars Suriya, Mamitha Baiju, Radikaa Sarathkumar, Raveena Tandon, Nassar, Sudha, Raghu Babu and others. The film's music is composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar.

The film has benefited from positive word of mouth, particularly among family audiences in Tamil Nadu and the Telugu states. Reviews have highlighted its emotional core, relationships and Suriya's performance, although some critics have found the family-drama treatment uneven.

The latest figures indicate that the film earned about ₹67.22 crore in India during its first three days, while the overseas market contributed nearly ₹43 crore, taking the worldwide total to ₹110.22 crore.

For Suriya, the milestone adds to a strong commercial phase following 'Karuppu', with 'Vishwanath & Sons' becoming another major theatrical success. However, Suriya has maintained that a film's success should not be judged only through box-office numbers, stressing that the emotional impact on audiences is equally important.

With the film sustaining audience interest after the opening weekend, its performance during the coming weekdays will determine how far it can extend its theatrical run.
