Suriya’s Scene Set for Major GCC Release During Diwali

Tamil actor Suriya’s upcoming action-comedy film Scene is gearing up for a major theatrical release across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries during the Diwali season. Directed by Jithu Madhavan, the film stars Nazriya Nazim and Naslen in prominent roles and promises a blend of action, comedy and drama.

Suriya reportedly plays Deputy Superintendent of Police Inbaraj, an unconventional and unpredictable police officer. The film marks Jithu Madhavan’s Tamil directorial debut following his Malayalam films Romancham and Aavesham. Although the makers have kept much of the storyline under wraps, the combination of action and humour has generated considerable anticipation among audiences.

The film is produced by Suriya and Jyotika under the banners of Zhagaram Studios and 2D Entertainment. Phars Films is handling its release in the GCC region, positioning the movie for a strong overseas theatrical run during the festive season.

The film is scheduled to arrive in theatres on November 6, 2026, making it one of the anticipated Tamil releases around Diwali. It is also expected to be Suriya’s third theatrical release of the year. Meanwhile, Netflix has secured the post-theatrical streaming rights, ensuring that the film will reach audiences on the digital platform after its cinema run.

Promotional activities are adding to the excitement, with the first single, Aaththi Iva Yaarraa, already released. Suriya’s fan clubs are anticipating a strong box-office performance, particularly in overseas markets, where the actor has an established following.

With a popular cast, an experienced director and a festive release window, Scene is aiming to attract both Tamil-speaking audiences and wider regional filmgoers.
